Daily news wrap up #8-Sep-2010

  • The temples in Ghaziabad and Trans Hindon areas witnessed the recitation of mass Hanuman Chalisa by thousands of people who committed themselves for the building of Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya.
  • Kiran Singh, leader of Bharatiya Kisaan Union, died in Modinagar on Tuesday. He was 85 and had put across issues of farmers to the state many a times.
  • The dress of a police constable torn off when he was trying to separate people fighting at the Samrat Chowk area of Vijaynagar.
  • Sushil Choudhary, husband of Jalalabad village Pradhan Manju Choudhary, was shot at by two people near Duhai. He has lodged a FIR against the two.
  • Various contests were organized and the winning students were prized at the Saraswati Shishu Mandir on the occasion of Teacher's Day.
  • Members of Northern Railway Trade Union supported the strike of Central Trade Union and went on a 24-hours strike against the rising prices.
  • 125 people got themselves examined for the spreading diseases in the Ram Park Extension Colony in Loni.
